Alright all.
Now that Refresh Cycles is stopping trading does anyone know who else offers the same service as them (For those who didn't know what they did, they buy bikes from people to save them selling them) I want to sell my DH bike but am reluctant to sell it on the likes of Pinkbike as I now know at least 2 people who have had bikes stolen when trying to sell them.

I've sold a couple of bikes through groups on Facebook!
I think you're fine if you take the necessary precautions like not meeting at your home etc..
I think Zulu is referring to Ross Readman. He has a group on Facebook called 'ross's rides'.
His day-to-day business is buying and selling bikes. He makes his living from it!
A lot of people rate him highly but I can't stand the plonker.. I've met him a couple of times (he's a Cannock local) and both times I just wanted to punch him in the face.
Probably good that I didn't because he's a gym rat and looks a bit nifty!

Yeah mate, I've emailed flat out as well as the one Kev posted, I'm quite happy to take a hit on it as its just taking up space in the house and God only knows when the next time I'll be using it is.

what you reckon the myst is worth buddy. i bet youd get a better deal on a swap for a trail bike or something like a cheaper dh to play on plus cash. that way come summer you can still hit the big trails even on an old girl.

He's got enough bikes, if he got another one he'd want to sell it after a week :-)

I'd say somewhere between £1250 and £1500, If I get somewhere between that I'd be happy. I have a good trail bike mate, Got a Scott Genius LT, it a 170mm bike with 36's and tbh, I think it could handle any trail that I have been on with the DH bike, it could do Ae and Inners in it's sleep and would be perfect for the tougher trails at BPW

I think the Myst is the longest that i've owned a bike lol

Why not sell private? Surely on ebay it'll go for loads more, without any hassle (offering UK-wide delivery from Paisley Courier @ £25) Think he prefers the baby oil option, Gaz.
