Really stuck on where to go, plan to be there for 9.30 ish and leave by 2.30 for the school run, really can't decide and in danger of just heading for Gisburn as a last choice easy option.
rivington, try and find a new cheeky that I head about on Monday. hebden bridge, test a new route after the dry spell gargrave around mastiles lane and down to hetton, never ridden there so will be some navigational rumblings and I don't know how good the riding is.
around pen y Ghent, foxup etc as shown in a recent mbr, like the sound of a 4.5km descent.
most votes in the next 40 minutes and I'll go there.

Today's been a stunning day, it's like we wound the year forward a couple of months. Today's ride followed a route from Pedal north which is also featured in a recent copy of Mbr, it can be ridden counter clockwise but I wouldn't fancy a few of the climbs,. There are several other ways and I will try piecing together with the best bits of Clapham and Ingleborough to make a good long ride. www.strava.com/activities/519439968/segments/12484239152The ride had a nice steady climb up out of the small bug pretty village of Horton using the Pennine way, up to Hull pot and then over Foxup moor then down into Halton Gill and a steep climb out before a descent that was just short of 3 miles back to Helwith Bridge. Really enjoyed it despite a few moments of navigational uncertainty, the weather certainly helped. Looking back on the climb up from Horton, part way up. The first of what they call pots around there, in simple terms a big hole in the ground. There's lots of these feature in this area. This is one of the largest and marks the start of the single track, hull pot. I didn't fancy dropping in. Track over towards Foxup, they said a long stretch of down hill after this but it was boggy, rocky and generally rough going. The other side of pen y Ghent. I then rode around and up as far as you can go before it's hike a bike to the summit, I didn't fancy the steps today., the path up is too the right. Directly from that position is the start of the descent from pen y Ghent to Helwith bridge, some board walk followed by broken lane which was nicely rutted and loose in places. Some ace section names as well as I just found out I'm quickest this year down "the bushy quim", which is then closely follows by wankfuck which spits you out onto the main road amongst a flurry of rubble. Cracking day. Full story s1049.photobucket.com/user/kirky72/pen%20y%20Ghent/story

Looks like a great ride, I'm so jealous as I've picked up the kids tummy bug and feel rotten suppose it was inevitable as I was cleaning up puke at 2 am the other morning. Keeping fingers crossed for the weekend, don't think I'll be going anywhere with such stunning views though!!!
