Yep, European Bob has one already and mine is in the garage waiting to be fitted once my rims are back from the LBS. Looks a great and cheap alternative to 1x11. Bob's shifts lovely (much nicer than my expander cog fitted 10 speed).
No need to change anything (shifters etc) and Bob is running his perfectly well on a Zee mech! said he didn't even need to re set the gears, fitted the cassette and off he went.
Ooh, I'd go for the MX-3 as well (I did) look purrty in black and is made of better materials than the MS-3 and is lighter too.

Iv got the black and red sunrace 10-42 cassette and it shifts lovely as good if not better than what I had before
On a zee shadow mech I changed the hanger to a one up radr, hasn't shredded it's self yet and it's done a fair few hard miles
Well worth the money

Well that sounds spot on. Im running a xt long cage with a 32 n/w up front. will I need to shorten the chain length? I didn't touch it when I went from 3x to 1x and its been spot on.

Shorten it? you mean lengthen it? depends what cassette you are running - if you have a 42t expander then it's like for like.

You won't regret it - once I'd fitted a new gear cable as well, it now shifts just as sweetly as the 'normal' 1x10 XT cassette on the Bird. It's a great bit of kit.
