My el guapo is starting to look pretty tired and battered so I've decided I'll be replacing it at the end of this year. The carbon patrol is currently at the top of the list. All the reviews I've read seem very positive but I just wanted some real world opinions  Cheers |

I was going to get myself one, but decided to stick with the Warden, one of the Giro reps I know has an alu one and he can't get enough of it. He went through an Orange Alpine, and Cube Stereo 160 before this, longest I've known him keep a bike, so that's got to tell you something!

Nope, alu Scout rider, it's feckin awesome though, I went for a demo on a patrol but they didn't have one available but they had a scout and after that demo i just had to have it, so fast and agile
it is a 5" trail bike but doesn't feel like it, anyway no i haven't tried one but if the scout's anything to go by it'll be equally awesome. The carbon patrol hasn't been out long so good luck with getting an opinion

Cheers fella, I was initially just thinking of the alloy version but I'm thinking I'm going to push the boat out a bit and go carbon. I know the aluminum one is supposed to be good as well. Either way they'll both be streets ahead of the El guapo which is a bit of pain in the arse at times.
