Knocked Gisburn on the head due to low numbers, it would be great to revisit the loop we did earlier in the year under what surely must be better conditions. If I take another swim it won't be quite so life threatening.lol. so going to head around Calderdale taking in some infamous descents and climbs. Meeting 10am at the same small car park, or nearby lay-bys as last time. Or for those first time visitors; car park is next to a small swing park under an height restriction bar (so those with roof bars like me may opt for the layby option). Lay by on A646 just passed shaw road shaw wood road, OL14 6DA Not sure if this works or not but if it does then the little arrow is the parking area. Also spaces across in the lay by. www.streetmap.co.uk/idld.srf?x=395858&y=424737&z=106&sv=395858,424737&st=4&ar=Y&mapp=idld.srf&searchp=s.srf&dn=854&ax=395858&ay=424737&lm=0 So far only myself, Gonzalo and Gaz (windy) for sure, so I'm in for beasting lol. Maybe Manf might join or mike, or hopefully a few from that side of the Pennines could jump in. weathers looking dull and humid, but most importantlydry and not too windy. route from the last time, to be honest the climb ft looks to be too high I'm sure it isn't so much. www.strava.com/activities/492645442

Gonzalo I can go there very readily so any time you have a Saturday free and want to go just give me an heads up. Or as the nights get longer and you are passing by anywhere handily placed in mid week and want to meet up there let me know and I'll be happy to show you around. Not that anybody needs showing around as it's one of the easiest to follow trails but good sometimes to know what's coming up. Plus if the weathers been good I know some of the PMBA routes which are not part of the way marked trail and not really mentioned anywhere.
I may be off to china on the Sunday so my last chance for a ride for a couple of weeks otherwise I would say happy to change if many more people can only do the Sunday. Also my daughters do their gymnastics, swim etc on Saturday so the mrs typically prefers me to ride on Saturday as they're busy anyway. I ll know on the china situation early next week.

If the does seem to be a few that can make if could you do me a favour and let jason and his mrs know incase they want to tag on, it would be good to see them again and I'm not sure they check on here very often if at all. i haven't been to Whinlatter yet as it seems crazy not to ride somewhere else in lakes instead however I may just have to check it out one day, until I do I'm just going off the votes for gisburn as top trail centre in England and that Whinlatter seems to be a couple of long climbs for a couple of descents, as good as they may be it just doesn't sound like a must visit place.

But whinlatter is better Since I go to Cumbria every month, I'm well up to do Whinlatter if it ever suits you during the week! My meetings are always on Thursday morning...but I can either go on a Wednesday or stay over and ride of Friday! If this is something you could do, let me know and I'll send you my dates! That would be AWESOME Gaz!

That Saturday is pretty much the one I can't do for the next months, so let's just see when you are free and the weather is kind and just let me know! I'll be there!

No probs if not too many peeps can make it maybe we could arrange a big ride with longer notice.
During a ride around d pen y Ghent I found a nice bikers bunk barn with pub and cafe nearby in Halton Gill. I thought at the time if we could be more confident of good weather in summer proper it may be a nice double header and make a nice two day trip to do Gisburn one day which doesn't shag yon out all together for the next day, then stay in Halton or Horton and ride a very nice Yorkshire dales ride of pen y Ghent the next day. Some may do one or the other with a good accommodation option for those that can manage both. Maybe just a pipe dream.

Nice one lets hope it's dry for a while before hand so we can try a good cheeky. We could always for the down hill line but it may scare Michelle, come to think of it I would also shit a brick with so e of the gap jumps and large drops.

The DH lines are mental, I wouldn't even attempt them. And it's not like you've got a run off area incase anything goes tits up!!!
