I was going to try the pen y gent whilst the conditions are fair to good, most likely try anti clockwise this time to finish with 3 or 4 miles of descending on the Tuesday, are you off then, if not I might be able to do the Wednesday instead but need to check during Monday.

Shit I forgot about degla and just opted to work Friday instead of Tuesday. Never mind I'm sure there will be other rides there, seem to be frequent enough.

Last time it took me 1h30m to get to Degla...it that! And we went on a van!

It's always nice to have a break of the natural stuff too...climbs are not too bad and the adrenaline is high. Shouldn't be too busy on a Friday and hopefully the weather will help! If I had fun last time, I can imagine if its dry and I now that I more or less know what is in front of me! Good times...this will be a great month of riding...Hebden, Degla, Lakes...can't wait!

Glynn - we are thinking of getting there early - for 9 at the latest - brew in the caff and set off. I think you'll love it.
We'll be doing the red and black run - then the blue after - the blue is a brilliant, fast blast. Best blue I've ever ridden. Bring some money too as although pricey - the Degla caff burger and chips post ride scoff in is legendary!

claim of it taking 1.30mins.................yeah right........in a light aircraft!.... google maps says 1h57m or 2h03m from my house...however last time it was a weekend...on a friday, Glossop will be a bit busier. You do the Peaks all the time...lol. we need to repeat that ride with Blacka, Burbage at some point. enjoyed that.
