Hi Everyone Not quite the suspense you are all used to in New Bike Orders. However I have just ordered the Canyon Strive 9.0 CF Team I was floating between the 9.0 Team and the 9.0 Race however there was a 10% discount on the team today making it in my opinion one of or the most best value bike out there right now. It says it is in stock so delivery shouldn't be too ridic. I can't wait!

I've always liked the look of that bike but never seen one in the flesh. Can't wait to see the pics.

Thanks guys.
A lot of bad press about canyon and I know you had issues as well Malamute but at this price I have to take the risk I think.
My brother has a Mountain and a Road Bike and he has had decent service so I hope I get lucky !

My mate has this very bike, very nice, i think there were issues with the wee switch thing that reduces the travel but Canyon were giving out free replacements i think, if it does break it just means you ride it at full travel (160mm in this case) all the time like the rest of us, no big deal anyway is it

I rode quite a bit of the ardrock with a guy on a strive. Looked great in the flesh and he was very happy with its performance. It couldn't quite keep up with the Scout on some sections though. Lol.
Myself and Euan both ordered these within minutes of the launch around June 2014 but the deliveries were a mess so cancelled and got an enduro in October after they reduced 2014 model. I wish I had patience and stuck with it. i was concerned about the after service from a company that chose to tell me the day of expected despatch that it would be easier months late. Like waiting for Xmas day to find out xmas eve for its to be put back to March.

Also Joe Barnes old mechanic Dougie works in the LBS so to be honest any Canyon issues he will be the main man to fix them!

Shiiiit , i wish i hadnt looked now as the race is is down under £3k, i dont understand how the team is heavier than the race, when it has lighter wheels, carbon bars, lighter drivetrain, guide ultimates. Odd one that.
Anybody want to buy a scout?

I was really impressed, I was anxious about hitting the trails as I felt really high up in comparison to the Nukeproof.
Hit some of the trails today and jesus the bike felt great, just flys down the hills. Really impressed. The accellaration is amazing as well

Yeah probably is a bit much blue. Probably won't go to effort of changing. I'm a bit lazy like that tbh however. If I get a Lyrik I wouldn't be changing to blue. Shapeshifter is working great and makes a good difference for climbing.

Does it climb good for a 160mm travel bike or just damn good for any xc full suss?
When you said it's high do you mean the stack height. Does the front wander a bit on steep climbs?
Wish I had stuck with my order for one of these bad boys.

Wish I had stuck with my order for one of these bad boys. My brother who owns a Spectral thinks it climbs better than that which is a 140 MM trail bike. It climbs well however I don't think it would be comparable to a XC machine but I am delighted with it. Yes stack height feels high but I like it and when descending it felt fine. Didn't really hit any steep climbs. Did have a wee accidental wheely on one climb switchback. I went out not expecting much but got back to car park absolutely delighted.
