Local Nike place had a demo weekend (and offers) so thought it would be rude not to.
Surly ice cream truck Yep it's fat, 5inch wide tyres are mental an it's steel with no suspension that said picks up well an bloody quick grin inducing madness. Feels like your riding a semi locked out full susser
Scott Genesis 710 27,5+ Not going to lie my favourite bike of the weekend. Hard tail with front suspension an 2.daft tyres on boost axles just encourages you to be a dick an traction was hilarious.
Saracen mantra carbon Bleeding quick reminded me of my Scandal with a bit more travel very direct great to climb with but couldn't get on with the ardents that were on it. May have been the usual plastic compound they fit rather than the tyre itself.
Giant trance Meh? Didn't really feel that interesting pedal Bob wasn't bad but on the whole nothing to wrote home about.
Scott e-genius 910 Bloody quick! Takes a bit to work out when you don't want the assist, berms, no! First time I've done a wheelie out of a berm switchback, flip the pedal an it sees it as a pedal so motor kicks in. Good fun bit you feel wrong even more so when you realise how heavy it is! 45lbs is mental. One of the guys went out in turbo mode an set a load of strava koms on road hills. Says it all really doesn't it.
Overall good an an eye opener just had to resist the Scott 27.5+ was such good fun

I looked at the Scott 710 27.5+ in December and opted for the Norco Torent 7.1, much better spec imho Scrapper 45 rims and Yari 130mm forks with a slack 67o head angle, I bought it for just general messing about (N+1) but its since been around some of the toughest Lake District routes and Peak runs too and around £250 cheaper then the Scott too. 27.5 + is fun
