new bike , new maxxis high rollers and the rear looks like it had a slight buckle so took it to bike shop who said the wheel was only slightly off but the tyre is deformed and gives off the sense that the wheel is not tru . the tyre is seated perfectly on the rim . ive rode the bike twicew so far and still the same as YT say they need bedding in due to storage of the tyres . are they correct ?

No idea mate sorry - I've never experienced this one myself - hopefully, someone can be a bit more helpful than me!

Try putting about 50 psi in, leave it for a few days and see if that pulls the tyre back into shape.

I had a tyre delam inside
Looked like it had a buckled wheel
Couldn't tell from the inside either the layers in the tyre it's self came apart,
Had to just replace the tyre
Bike shop said some do occasionally some makes more than others,

Just check the tyres aren't too wide for the rim , even .2 wide is too much

best check yourself if the wheels true or not. hold a small screw driver against the seat-stay so that the tip of the screw driver is almost touching the wheel rim.spin the wheel and you'll see if the wheel is true at the tip of the screwdriver. if it is the tyre thats slightly deformed its no big deal.

Sounds like a duff tyre to me, if it's seated on the rim properly it shouldn't be buckled, the rims you have are plenty wide enough for the tyres so that shouldn't be an issue.

Yes, they'll replace it but this is the problem with buying direct from abroad - lots of faffin about getting stuff sorted (I know, I've been there). Think I'll stick to either UK based or at least UK outlets from now on - so much easier when you can just talk to someone English or even drive there yourself.

At least it's only a tyre and not the reverb (yet) like you had as that would do my head in even though I have a spare none stealth . YT are getting good with customer service but damn it takes them a while to reply . There is talk ( hush hush at the moment) that YT may in the future have a service center in the uk as a lot of there custom is from the uk (apart from Germany of course) . The runour started last week when doing there demo days .

It didn't really help Canyon, still had to go through German HQ, but maybe they've watched and learned. I haven't even had a reply to the video they asked for on Wednesday , not holding my breath really as about to buy a hans dampf for rear and magic Mary for the front once funds allow .

Buy a Nobby Nic for the rear instead. Check Enduro mag article on tyre combos. But like Timbo says, I would remove it, give it a good stretch with both hands around the whole tyre and put it back again.

I've got the Magic Mary/Nobby Nic combo - only thing I'd change wpould be a 2.25 Nic instead of the 2.35 I bought by mistake. HD is too draggy on the rear and you don't need all the grip it gives on the rear anyway.

Yes - always the snakeskin for me mate - got it and the MM from Germany (bike-discount.de) cheapest by far. The non snakeskin is a good price but if you ride anywhere near rock gardens - I wouldn't trust it mate. Think my snakeskin was about that price anyway, from ze Chormans.
