Looking at signing up for an event and came across this. Anyone done it?
To be honest 101kms is a bit of a tall order for me but definitely worth a try.
Just realised they run a Boarder run as well at 60K

Wasn't this the one that was in miles last year? Think Hodgy's her man for info on this.

Hello Jim ... Well you certainly seem to have acquired a taste for the area after your recent visit ... I marshalled at the event last year along with Colin ...Graham & Russell entered it and both finished ...it was in Km last year with a view to making it in miles this year ...but the elite level riders reckoned that it was plenty tough enough the way it was ..so it stays the same. It's a well run event ...you would enjoy it and the last I heard Marmite & Jack were entered... I haven't heard anything yet from the organisers ..but I should be there on the day

I'm in negotiations with the OH at the moment as we are meant to be in Torquay that week. Fingers crossed but think I may have to do the 2017 one!!!
I loved the area Neil just gutted i didn't get to ride any of the trails but I'll be back hopefully sooner rather than later. The OH wants to walk Hadrians wall as well, I've asked if we can bike it!

I'll be signing up for the 101 soon as I know how my shoulder is going to be but I have no doubts in being back to full health by then

Skin is, your drivetrain is too but Kielder in the wet can destroy your bike in a few minutes. My first attempt at the full blown 100 a few years ago was wet all day. Gears were grinding, brake pads were eaten, souls were destroyed. Passed 1 lady after about 10 miles whose rear mech had given up leaving her with only her front mech working. Those running 1x have been warned.
