Not really, these are double butted as well. All similar really unless you go into road stuff

Hats off to you sir. As you know I can't even work out what length of spoke to buy to attempt build a wheel.

Top job! I'd like to give this ago, how much did the tools cost to do this job?

Truing stand was about 80 with the hub adaptors then the dishing tool was 22 bar that just a spoke key an I use a nipple driver but you can use a flathead screwdriver cheaper stands can be had, just I wanted some extra bits. Dishing tool is from wiggles own brand. Not seen one cheaper.

Well done mate, looking good. Is it cheaper to build them, rather than just buying them off the shelf?

Well done mate, looking good. Is it cheaper to build them, rather than just buying them off the shelf? Little bit as im getting the parts at retail. IF I were getting them at trade it would be a load less.

Nice work - they look decent. What weight are they compared to a set of 'off the shelf' jobs for the same money?

Nice work - they look decent. What weight are they compared to a set of 'off the shelf' jobs for the same money? Right, weight wise weighed them Front 969g Rear 1026g So Just under 2Kg Compared to off the shelf. About the same Im using the same kit. OK I could have gone with the lighter DT rims but they are light for a reason, ie bendy. The mavics used a sleeve rather than a pin so heavier but way tougher. Well done on the build. Wouldn't know where to start myself. Thanks, I had my doubts but sat down with some books an a few you tube videos an its done. Wheels are now on. Clicking sounds lovely. Just need to run them for a bit then tweak the truing on them.
