Right just a little route advise please guys and gals
Im off on a free Monday pass from the boss and im off to the Lakes again this time to have a run around Coniston , Walna scar from Torvor , and back round , Question being how long should I give myself for the loop some 18 miles because I want a run around Loughrigg fell after (11km and around an hour tops )

windysurfer is your man,but if its any help, we did a longer walna scar route which took in grizedale, parkamoor,woodland fell then a torver, seathwaite walna scar loop. it was a tough all day ride around 30 miles/ 7 and half hours.so im guessing your shorter version will be around 3 hours

Never ridden Walma scar bit I guess the same as glynn with around 3 hours at a steady pace

I would give yourself a bit longer than 3 hours ...if you are heading up to Walna Scar from Seathwaite then you are in for a canny walk ... The drop back down to Torver through the old slate workings is fast & fun and almost makes what came before worth the effort ...lol

Well im looking at a 17mile loop, ive heard the climb from Seathwaite is a bugger ,ive done worse , the run down like people have said will make it all the worth while , 40 hours round car up to Ambleside and Loughrigg for an hour should be a good day
