Whilst out on a bimble yesterday morning, just started a sharp hill climb when I saw an oldish lady rolling a bike out of her house and across the road ready to set off in front of me.
I thought how rude to set off in front of me knowing I will have to over take her, she faced a bit so I had right behind once she decided to set off. Alongside her now I thought I she would seen be trailing in my wake, at the moment the was a whirl of a motor and she shot forward.
I was stuck now I couldn't drop back so had to climb hard out of the saddle and beast my self up and over the hill.

Strava has an ebike option that is separate to self propelled bikes. Just depends if the ebike user selects it.

one of my biking buddies has severe hip and knee joint problems... he would be stuck at home gaining weight if it wasn't for the fact that he owns and rides an e-bike....so... "one man's meat is another man's poison" as the old saying goes..... everything has a purpose to somebody....  |

I agree - 100%. Was talking to a couple on his 'n' hers ebikes on the Chase last week - she had had 3 knee operations and was looking at a knee replacement and getting out on the ebike was the first time she could cycle in the last 3 years. They absolutely have a place...just not at my place...not yet, anyway |

That's a real shame Gaz...it's bloody hard to give up something you love doing ..I had it with squash 20 years ago and latterly with badminton ..hope you find something to take its place
