Gisburn was voted best trail centre in England ...
Glentress is still the daddy in the whole of Britain though ..( just my opinion based on what I've visited)..
But they all have their good bits ..Kielder and Hamsterley as my nearest t/c's are improving all the time.

Actually much better, surprising what a week can do!!! All the scabs have come off which is a bonus. Dont think its gonna scar, but up close the skin is pink and dry. Husband was worried the scabs would drop off in his dinner, so he's happier too now:-)

Yep ..that's no fun !( diabetes )
I've hopefully seen the light after being an extremely poor diabetic to date
After the last check up I was told that I needed to reduce my blood sugar ..or go onto a different medication whereby I had to start recording it twice a day and keep them on hand while driving ( even though I have never felt tired on even long distances )
Immediately I became extremely aware of the sugar content which passed my lips ..and became a good boy ..still have the occasional cheat ..but hopefully I have this under control ..I have lost 17lbs so far and feel a whole lot better on the bike as a result .
Bloods taken last week ..awaiting results ..fingers crossed .
Edit ...lol ..I've posted this after thinking the diabetes comment was the last posted ..sorry ..long hot day on the trail !

No burger or milkshake as she wanted to go on skills thingy and pump track. Can you imagine a kid riding on the skills park and pump track after that milkshake and vomiting in my car???
