Are ace, forgotten just how good they are until tonight regular Wednesday with the last hour in darkness.
Surprising how much the trail seems to change in the dark and everything seems much faster. It seem to really focus the mind bombing down a trail with only a few feet light in front of you and everything else in darkness.
If you've never ridden at night , get yourself out there and give it a go!

Still not done it. Mainly because I'm knackered in the evenings and can't see the bike too clean it properly.
Will do soon though just to try.

This year will be my first year of night rides.
Been researching lights for a while now and I'm really keen to get some winter night rides round my belt. This will keep fitness and skills sharp for summer.
Barely done any riding at all last year so it has to change this year.

Just pray for better weather than the last two years ..cold,dry,frosty ...even snowy nights make all the difference ..but wet & windy pissy nights ...which to my mind is what we have had to contend with ..are a real demotivater for heading out of the door

I want to try and do a few more night rides this year - think I only managed 4 or 5 last year. Need to get some decent batteries for my lights though - other than MTB Batteries is there anywhere else I could look? C&B Seen don't appear to be able to sell the battery packs on their own now....

Still not done one. Hard to wait in all day when it's sunny to then go ride in the dark at night. It stays light til after 10 up here. My night riding will be done in winter. It gets dark at 4pm in the winter here and working the 9-5 life means I only see darkness for about 4 months

Night ride in the snow. Boom, best ride of last winter. Wrap up warm and ride. Even have a soft landing when you fall off.

I've done a few rides at night but to be honest, I'm not too keen... No matter what you ride slower, its more dangerous and then cleaning the bike in the cold at night is not fun. But of course if anything was organised, i would probably join.

...clean the bike at night...? You mad ? The chain would get a wipe over and that's it until morning .. Some of the rides we used to do meant you didn't get home until after midnight ...
