So after a long day yesterday, i got home and grabbed a drink and went and sat outside in the sunshine. Just after my first swig the phone rings. It was my lad saying he has a problem at the gym and his bike lock won't work. Don't worry I said take the bike in and explain. No he said, it's locked and won't come undone So off I go with tool box in hand. Fortunately he had only taken his BMX and not the MTB, which meant he had used the heavy duty coil combination lock i have rather than the Ubend locks. Now I know a bolt cutter would make short work of it but there I was with my 6" hack saw for 20 minutes sawing my way through. Couple of thoughts went through my mind as I was crouched down behind some cars in the corner of the carpark. 1) will someone call the cops! 2) will people think whats that old man doing with that hand action near those teenagers!!!! Moral of the story. Own bolt cutters, combination locks break more than key ones, I was fecking knackered and sweaty by the end of it. Got home half an hour later to a warm drink and time to start dinner etc

...but that got me wondering why no one approached you to ask what you were doing ! If you had been a real bike thief ..just shows that the general public just turn a blind eye ...

...but that got me wondering why no one approached you to ask what you were doing ! If you had been a real bike thief ..just shows that the general public just turn a blind eye ... I think in all fairness it was pretty obvious we weren't stealing them but that said if you look confident and are completely brazen about what you are doing, you may just fool jo public into thinking it's above board
