Have had word from Dave (& Jean?) that this date suits ...so as a starting point this is where we start...very weather dependant after our last Saturday visit ! The trails though could be classed as year round being mainly rocky in nature..but we don't want the torrential downpour we had in August . The recent midweek jaunt with Glynn, Kirky , G & Nick confirmed that it is a ride worth going back to ...so hopefully this suits everyone .. Sign up below !

Caught in two minds.
Love the lakes and fancy a good ride there next Saturday or the 1st.
However with so much good stuff and routes I haven't done part of me fancies something around Kentmere way.
Having said that I wouldn't mind having another go at some of those descents now I have had a look, the bikes set up better and hopefully I won't have an off in the first half hour that upsets my Mojo.
I'll decide nearer to the time.

I'm actually at the Lakes on the 1st and should take the opportunity to go for a ride but I agree with John and maybe fancy something different, maybe more hilly...or even just have some fun at Whinlatter!

That's fine .. This is mainly for the folks who went on the 20th August but had to abort the ride ..but said that they wanted to go back and finish it ..none of whom made it back last Wednesday ..also for anyone else who can't ride midweek ..but I totally get that you would want to ride somewhere different . I'm no real fan of the high level stuff in the Lakes ..the reward rarely lives up to the effort of getting to the top ..and I have done most of what's out there ...

I'm in I bet you want to crush that cobbled climb. I think you can do it if it's fairly dry. I'll be right behind you. Well at the start then I'll be off and pushing after the first twenty metres.

Good idea.
Are you off anywhere exciting tomorrow?
I have to go other to knot end way in the afternoon to the in laws so I'm on orders to have a quick localism one and be home for lunch.
Fancy somewhere decent for the following Saturday.

Fancy somewhere decent for the following Saturday. Got to take the dog to the vets in the morning so just a local ride tomorrow.Farleton Fell and Hutton Roof on Sunday though I'm riding in the Lakes next Friday with the lads from work but should be OK for a trip out on Saturday. You got something in mind?

I doubt you want to head back to the lakes then on the saturday. How about peaks, marsden or try somewhere new in the dales.

I guess you will be taking part in the cobblestone challenge ..? I believe a certain Spanish bloke has been a bit economical with the truth about making it to the top of these

Thinking of joining this and maybe just doing first loop as I haven't been out for quite a while due to work commitments so won't be in the 28 miler league.

24 miles ..Mike..just see how it goes as there is always an option to cut it short later in the ride also ..
