Starting just outside Ambleside and taking some of the Lakes classic trails such as Iron Keld,Little Langdale
and Tilberthwaite.. something for everyone.
Route will be around 20-25mile and 2500-3000ft, we're never more than a few miles from the start so can adjust the route to suit the weather and riders.
Meet at 10am next to Whitemoss carpark on the A591 in between Grassmere and Rydal Water (free parking!)

Getting fed up with being stuck in doors with a cold whilst we've had a spell of good weather. Not been out for a whole week already and seem be getting worse each day.

Sometimes that can work, an hour on the bike can burn it through but unfortunately not going to work this time.
Just doing a little but of work with the dumb bells earlier and I couldn't get up for an hour after, same again after a bit off ball room dancing around the lounge with my daughter, totally blowing out of my arse after a couple of minutes.

Just a cautionary note ...while I'm 100% at the moment both missus & son have full blown colds which they usually like to pass on when they have finished with them.
I'm the world's worst with a cold ( yes even more so than Kirky) ..but to be fair it's usually the worst man-flu strain that I pick up ...hopefully this will pass me by and I will be on the starting grid on Saturday ..

Spoke to Jaco yesterday ..they have guests coming for the weekend so he is unable to make this now .
I'm still resisting the family cold ..however ( as mentioned on other posts) my front wheel bearings appear to be shot ..so taking the bike down to Wheelbase Staveley on Wednesday ..if they have the bearings in stock (will find out today)..for hopefully a warranty(?)replacement .
3 months of albeit fairly hard riding doesn't seem like a long time for double sealed cartridge bearings to last !?
Will keep you informed.

Definitely can't get to this one car will only be ready on Monday. After it was "lost" on the back of a transporter for 4 days it finally got to garage and has apparently thrown a small end bearing. 4 new pistons oil pump rods etc etc etc going in at the moment, very comprehensive and expensive rebuild apparently, glad it was in warranty period.
Hopefully see you guys on the next one. Have a good ride

Graham has succumbed to the lurgy and is now out ...and I'm sorry to say that I am heading the same way..
Started with a sore throat ..but have now got to the nose running like an open tap stage ...dont like pulling out of rides at the last minute but I will see how things progress today and make a decision tonight ..my apologies
