Got there in the end John but it put up a hell of a fight !
However where your advice falls down is the fact that it's hard to keep the tyre half in/deflated when the very reason I'm removing it is due to a bloody big hole in the side wall !lol.
KTM..I always carry a tube ..the point I was making is that it's next to fkn useless if you can't get the tyre off in the first place ...
