There's been quite a few trails 'repaired' around Ambleside, Elterwater and Lougrigg over the last couple of years . Whiles it does ruin them short term it should take long for the weather to return them to their natural state.

gaz that has often been said regarding derbyshire trails but, even the ones now showing erosion are no where near their natural state after a few years. there is one trail on the jacobs ladder route which has been done with natural appearance in mind, after consultation, and proper well thought maintenance.its the roych clough trail which still isnt quite as technical as it was, but is much more interesting than the likes of the new jenkin crag

Yes that looks completely shite ... The mountain bike community should gather en masse and trash it back to its natural state ..

Don't get me wrong I'd rather they just leave things as there are, but the couple of sections in the lakes I ride regularly are already washing away nicely probably helped by last years floods
