I think all that attended the Xmas ride last December would agree it was a cracking day and we had an excellent turn out (mainly thanks to Marmites organising and Facebook plugging).
Is it about time to test who may be up for it and take a poll of where and when. A trail centre is a good shout as it offers up better bad weather possibilities.
Last year was obviously Gisburn and we had visitors from a few hours north and south, Im happy to do the same again if its convenient for most or would suggest Llandegla.
If somebody could add a vote thingy then we could narrow down a venue and then choose a date?
Any suggestions, offers of help.

A work mate invited me to go there on Sunday...apparently there is a group of them going...I'm up for whatever...if you prefer I can meet up and you can show me more stuff, off-piste, etc!
Also, I'm off to the lakes on the 23rd, so if you fancy Gisburn after lunch on that day or Whinlatter, let me know! For a year now I'll be going to the lakes mid week, twice a month!

If you are travelling there with your work mates I would do that for some company and so you find it okay.
If you let me know the time and meet up i may tag on if you don't think they will mind, earlier the better for me.
I'm happy to go with the flow but if they don't know it to well I can recommend the best way to go about it.
Sunday should be dry but make sure you have waterproofs as you'll be splashing through a lot of standing water, gisburn doesn't drain very well, or at least the water seems to hold almost perpetually in certain places.

Of course they wouldn't mind.
I'm in two minds about it...do I go to Gisburn on a Sunday when it will be full, or do I just go and ride with some usual group and do Jacob's? That way I wouldn't hardly have to travel and I could do Gisburn with you another time, hopefully as I'm going up to Cumbria? Seems more logical...ill let you know!?

Regarding later in the month, let me know nearer the time, dependant on having to do the school run （if I'm not working that is）dictates if I need to do a morning start or not, if I have the full day could meet somewhere else.
See if you want to return to Gisburn again after Sunday anyway.
Passing from the lakes, not ruling out meeting at whinlatter or doing something around the lakes, I can show you some good bits around Rivington which is a short detour from the m61 around Chorley or 'm6 standish way.

Oh forgot to mention, I have what feels like a torn hamstring at the moment, did a spin class last night and it's due to mega fast spinning without pushing any real tension, you can feel a kind of snap back. Felt okay after a brief stretch afterwards but when walking down the stairs it felt like my lower leg had been severed. gay Ken the instructor reckons the muscle around there is probably knotted up and to split hot water. Hot bath, hot water bottle underneath all night and it felt a bit better. 5 hours driving today and 8 hours behind a desk and it feels fucked again.
Sat with the hot water bottle under again.
I've had it to a lesser degree before and it goes after a couple of days normally so hoping to be shifted by the weekend.

I'm sure Gisburn is great and crazy that I haven't been there yet. If I don't get any other rides organised when I go up to the Lakes, at least I can always go to Whinlatter (even though I wasn't that impressed to be honest!?)...until Sunday I'll decide if I'm doing Gisburn or Jacobs...depending on weather, if I'm bothered to drive that far and how tough I want the ride to be (considering I'll be riding Saturday too)! I'll keep you posted...btw, have you ever done Jacobs? Why don't you come Sunday? It's awesome and a great test for the new rig!?

No, I wish...I've tried to see if the fuckers would swap my meetings for Friday so I could stay for the weekend but nobody wants to travel up there on Fridays! The only other option is Thursday's around 3pm, but it's hard to arrange anything for sure on those days because it depends on how my meetings, site visits (aka how much did they f#%^ed on site), etc go!?
