We have collected the most common customer errors to check the reliability of your developer.
In pursuit of savings and choosing dubious contractors, companies forget that not all programmers are equally useful. Over 14 years of work, we have encountered different situations with clients who have contacted us. In order not to lose your Internet asset, use our advice.
The developer took money for the 1C-Bitrix license, but installed a hacked CMS
The story is real and happened shopify website design to one of our clients. Client A came to us with a request to improve an existing website. When checking the Bitrix site management (BUS) key, we discovered that such a license did not exist. The previous “specialist” simply changed the dates using the code and the client thought that everything was fine. In fact, the company's website was constantly on a demo mode license.
Why is this bad?
Visually, everything looked quite real, but Bitrix did not receive updates, and the Marketplace page did not open. The money for renewing the license and installing updates simply settled in the pocket of the unscrupulous contractor. As a result, the client had to buy a new license, and we had to remove the malicious code and spend a lot of time updating Bitrix to the current version and diagnosing the site.
