My cycle to work scheme is pretty limited in that we can only go to halfords, my road bike is pretty shagged, its had 2 or 3 years of being used 5 days a week in all weather and occasional weekends evening in the summer, everything is failing at the same time (still on original chain? So I was looking at another boardman road bike or cx bike but then thought a hardtail would be good as since i moved house my commute is only 3 miles and I could get back out doing some trail center stuff instead of just DH started looking at the boardman hardtail, would go 1x10 straight away and put wder bars on it www.halfords.com/cycling/bikes/mountain-bikes/boardman-mountain-bike-pro-hardtail-29er-2014think its more than capable of hammering pines/cannock and most other red routes but then i saw this, revelations, sram 1x11, guide brakes www.halfords.com/cycling/bikes/mountain-bikes/13-incline-delta-27-5-mountain-bike-2015looks pretty good spec wise, has anyone ever heard of 13 bikes before??

Don't know if it's just me but nether of the links are working for me, the second one sounds expensive, surely that's got to be more than a grand

That 13 looks good like, makes the Boardman look boring! I know some schemes don't allow you to put extra towards a bike! I seem to remember our one did but we use Evans instead.
I'd definitely have a look at the 13 bike

Rules say you can't add money to the scheme but depends how nice your local Halfords staff are feeling as I have done it in the past. First time I have seen the second bike you have linked, does look pretty nice and I'm sure at some point with web offers etc it will be down to around a grand if your in no rush.

Holy shit, what a bargain! 1x11 and revs would cost about a grand, let alone the new guide brakes... First time i've seen the bike aswell , i wonder if my local Halfords will have one in stock
