Now that the nights are here, what do you use light-wise? Are you a budget/bargain or a high end/expensive or middle of the ground?

Do you helmet mount or bar mount or both?

At the moment I use this mounted on my helmet:

Cheap, ultra bright, battery seems to last a good few hours on the low setting and switching to high for the main trickier trails. However thinking of moving this to the bars and getting one of the following for the head

You seem a little young for memory loss ... But vitamin B12 will get you back on the right track ..and short of having an injection every 12 weeks ( which I do ) ...marmite is packed full of the stuff .

On a slightly different note but same theme. I went out last night and it rained hard. Now on my HT the battery could be located under the top tube but not so on my FS so by the time i got home it was soaked. How do you keep it dry. I'm going to try a freezer bag but not sure how that will work as the velcro needs to be free of the bag. Any good tips?

Back then ...when I bought it .. Yeah , it was the doggy's dooberrys ... £320.00 !
The head unit that I have is second gen LEDs with a coolant, small ,light enough that you don't know they are there ...2,200 lumens ...and totally blows the exposure away ....£90.00!

Interested in a solution though ..

You can buy strips of velcro for pennies, put the battery in the bag and strap that somewhere with the velcro.
