First night ride of the season GoPro wasn't set-up right hence the awful quality photo but who cares... It's dark, it's cold, it's wet and I love it!

Went out on a really nice long exploring ride on trails that i've never ridden before on Monday. Found some awesome singletrack, aswell as some killer climbs. Bike was riding really loose through the forest sections with the Fast Trak tyres... However, when riding home, i stacked it on some big rooty mess and cut up my shoulder along some river side singletrack.
Today, i realized how there's a very fine line between riding loose and the bike being out of control. I will need to change my tyres, the Fast Traks do not grip. As i dropped down into a steep but wide corner, the rear end slid out and before i could even react, the front wheel followed, forcing me to eat shit for the second time in 2 days!

Theres nothing finer than being at one with the trail....even face down or flat on your back i seem to be more off the bike and in some filthy ditch these days than actually on the bike

I always seem to end up with my hire ride having dodgy wheels. Would have thought they could have trued them once in a while!

Was in Keswick myself today .. But tromping up and down the streets with the missus who wanted to go over there for her birthday " treat " ... Lunch at the Mill Inn at Mungrisedale .. who seriously make the best burger in the world .. The garlic mayonnaise makes you no friends though ! Half a dozen lads there all with downhill rigs .. But didn't get the chance to ask where they had been One of our group has a different twist on that ride ( bit naughty ) which apparently cuts out the Tarmac ball ache of Honister Pass . Don't know when we are doing it next .. but will give you the nod if you are interested . Last time we were up there earlier this year it was pissing down all day with snow up on h.pass and the drop towards Keswick was like riding down a river .. Happy days

Cheers lads, it was a good day for it, not a breath of wind and slightly overcast.
Hodgy, don't know if it's the same route but our group split up at the honister pass. Some went up the road and some (me included) took an alternative route off road before meeting the others at castle crag.

You can tell me as no one else is looking ! All I know is that it's a bit naughty ...

Marsbarman. Espesh liked the footage from Cwmcarn and the music to accompany . I have never ridden anywhere in Wales or the West Country ..and there was talk of having a few days down there instead of our Scotland trip next year. Was lucky enough to see ACDC at Newcastle Mayfair when Bon Scott was lead vocalist ( Angus was unreal that night) ..sadly both man and venue are no more
