Do you have to use a hosting site or can I upload straight from my pc?
If it is a hosting site what do you recommend.

Upload pictures from your computer upto a max 1mb and 3 pictures..
I personally use Photobucket but there are others and they are all very similar!

By the looks of things, i think its through the image hosting site, then clicking on the add image icon which you copy the image url into... Pretty similar to MTBE (can i mention that word on here now!)
Best wait and see what the mods say

Cheers, I find it easier straight from the pc as don't use a hosting site but will see. I'd reccomend Photobucket The easiest of the lot to use IMO, plus theres some 'ok' editing software on there and copying Image URL is a simple click away! |

Anyone know how to resize photos on IPad as all mine are too big? Apologies if it's obvious but I am totally IT illiterate. go to photos, find the picture you want to resize, choose edit then choose crop, think its at the bottom right... then choose aspect and choose the aspect ratio you want, position the crop square on the picture and choose crop at the top right then press save that should do it! |

I`ve got a free app called `image resizer`(honest,it`s not a piss take) it`s quite handy. open app>tap `new` to select pic from album>choose either pixel or %age>select size using slide bar>tap resize>tap share>save back to album.
I`m a techy dinosaur but it works for me

I cant believe how effing thick I am being over this but its doing my napper in !
So ...I have opened a Photobucket account uploaded an image to use as my avatar...resized it
Now I am truly stuck as to how to upload it on to my profile...nothing seems to work.
Help.... please before the laptop goes out of the window

click profile> right hand side of page click edit profile>second box from right,click upload/link>box appears,click upload image,this takes you to your pics,select pic to upload>pic should appear in box>click upload/link> pat yourself on back when you have a nice shiny avatar pic
or just send me your bank details and i`ll do it for you in a lovely Nigerian sort of way 
btw,if the image is small enough,like these pics I`ve been using as my avatar you can upload to your pictures from google images like I`ve done and then just click `add attachment` when you you`re posting and they`ll go straight on. |

Cheers for taking the time to explain that ... Much appreciated.
Where this is all falling down is the fact that all the pics on my lap-top are oversized and right clicking on the thumbnail does not give me an option to resize .
I then opened a photo bucket account where I was able to resize to what was needed for the forum . The problem that I have is clicking the button on my profile takes me to "my pictures" on the laptop and I can't get to my photo bucket account where the correct sized pic is waiting
Going bald but by bit as I tear my hair out

right,you need to be uploading directly from photobucket. open pb and find the pic you want,copy the img code and then paste into your `reply` page,that should do it.i was thinking you wanted to upload an avatar.

sorry mate,i`m confusing both of us now.I use this for resizing,use the custom sizing option. I use 250 pixels wide,leave the height blank.resize and save back to your pics,then copy and paste. this is from one dinosaur to another
