You don't need subforums.. Stw seems to work fine with 4 sections. Ride 40 miles in baggies and a jersey on a road bike and you would change your opinion pretty quickly on lycra

Its just annoying having clothes flapping around and chaffing. Lycra is worn for comfort, aerodynamics and its quite good at temperature regulation. Id never wear it on my mtb apart from some light weight padded shorts under my baggies. Im also at the age where i dont really care what i look like (38) am quite skinny so dont feel self concious.

On a CX. I wear my troy lees, and 5-10's then over-take Roadies, just a hobby, away from here...

Really?? Its gonna be very hard to do 18mph+ average speed with CX tyres and not clipped in either ... Why?... You're implying I can't average 18mph?.. I don't see how being clipped in has an effect, the most effect I see with clips is on climbs... So you can push and pull... My CX Smart Sam tyres are relatively narrow and fast rolling... The only hindrance is that I don't have a 50t+ Front ring..

Just be suprised thats all.. I know how hard you have to work to keep up an 18mph average (maybe not where you live) but on a road ride i typically have about 1000ft of climbing for every 10 miles and its hard work to keep that kind of speed up. Big up to you if you are that fit. Road tyres and being clipped in would probably add 3-4mph to your average speed on the road... Those kind of numbers would put you near pro cyclist speed.
