Im looking at ordering the new GoPro HERO (£99 version) tomorrow when it is released.
Just been on the GoPro site looking to download the editing software but its for Windows 7 and newer. Is there anything i can do about this, as im obviously going to need some software to do my videos on, however im not upgrading my PC just yet!
Am i the only one who still uses XP haha

I think you are the only person who still uses it!
I've got to say though, if your PC is old enough to be running XP, I heavily doubt it has enough processing power to play back 1080p/720p video straight from the camera, which means processing it will take a millennium. But, if you're just after something to compress it and upload it to YouTube, Windows Movie Maker would be your best bet, it's free and best of all, it's not going to be filled with toolbars for your browser and all manner of other nice things.

They should do, might still be able to find it on their site as it now comes in some package thing which had few other creator type things in (photo editing etc). May be worth looking at their site. Update: windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows-live/movie-makerClick the download link, it'll detect what OS you're running (XP in your case) and download the Windows Essentials 2009 package which will have movie maker in. Should give you the option to veto the other parts of software during installation if you don't want them.

Thanks for that! I managed to find version 2.0 online so i have downloaded that. At the moment, it seems to be working well, however that with the template footage. I will see what it is like when i get the camera. If it doesnt work smoothly, i'll try download the Windows Movie Maker from that link Thanks again for the help, i dont have a clue when it comes to computing. I've got a GCSE in IT but we never got taught any of this, its more to do with basic stuff that everyone already knows like how to use Microsoft Word haha!!!
