Ta for the healing vibes dudes, I'm now at Lincoln hospital still waiting for surgery, hopefully tomorrow. Even watching footage back I haven't got a clue what happened, can remember my rear wheel hitting my arse in the air, landing and then was just thrown forwards

All done, hopefully home today. Just wok up to young lady cleaning my room and realised I had the worlds biggest morning glory, sheet was proper tented. having a change of heart and might still do DH. Just going to invest in more safety gear than just helmet and knee pads, prob go neck brace and chest/back protection. No vid yet as my laptop can't handle video sizes to email but I did find the picks of nearly crashing first run thanks to bambi

Feeling for you Itl be at least 6 months before they say you can saddle an mtb again. Get plenty of Paracetamol and Ibuprophen as they don't prescribe Morphine for long.

Watching that it's difficult to know what happened ..there didn't seem to be any apparent danger ...hidden root in the mud ? Whatever ...it was bad enough to sustain the injury you have ..hope all mends well

There is so much luck involved in our game - seen lads have massive crashes and walk away, I have a bit of a tumble and bust 2 ribs on a hidden tree stump, MCFC has had the same kind of luck by the looks of things. Just bad luck that day.
Had deer jump out on me last 2 rides, including today - they do say this time of year (rutting season) they move around more, so look out for the buggers. Big animals when up close and I wouldn't fancy hitting one at speed.
As already said, heal well and heal quickly, MCFC.
