Had an hour before my ride tonight so managed to sort my bars out: Made a difference to how it rides. Seems to make climbing slightly easier. Not sure if its because of the slightly more forward position or because it opens your chest up a bit more. Oh yeah and trees are now closer lol.

So did you just give them a shake to jumble up the numbers ? Lol Seems like you need a fairly big turning circle now !

Originally wanted 720's but these were in the sale for £20 and they were out of the 720's. Turning didn't feel to bad - bit more effort on the twistier stuff but will get used to it.
Just my dropper post to fit now and puncture from last nights ride to sort (first one in years!).

I had a puncture at the weekend too ... It happened mid ride and I didn't know I had it until I checked the rear tyre after an off camber long grassy down which had given me too much rear sideways action ! Having pumped it up ..it stayed up for the rest of the ride ..but checking the bike over next morning it was as flat as a road kill hedgehog ..the tiniest hole as well ! It might seem wasteful but I never repair a puncture ...unless I'm out of tubes

Will change the tube and keep the repaired one as a spare.

Sorted puncture - looks like new tube was faulty - pin prick on moulded seem. Weighed it as well tonight: So about 0.6kg lighter than last time (before wheels amd bars). Which will probably go back up when I fit my dropper post.

Fitted dropper post tonight. Fairly straight forward and appears to function OK. Only thing I might do is fit an in-line barrel adjuster as there's no adjustment on the cable without using the cable clamp under the seat.

Cheers Roundie. It has a barrel adjuster on the noodle - it was just stuck! Bit of gentle persuasion with some grips and a bit of grease it's working now.
Could do with some sort of cover for the cable & lever under the seat though. Noticed one fitted to some ones bike the weekend (Think it was the LEV) and it had a little clip on cover.

Managed to get a couple of pics before tonights ride (and before it got covered in crap........). Job for this week is replacing the bottom bracket. Had a creak which I narrowed down to the BB. Stripped it last night to have a look and there was play in the bearings. Cleaned, greased and tightened crank bolt to upper end of torque range which has worked as a temp measure in removing a bit of play. On tonights ride I could feel the BB grinding and getting notchey. New BB ordered so will get that done when it arrives.
