My 2 steeds
Cube Stereo Super HPC 29er Blackline and Scott Scale 610 carbon with upgrades..love them both as much as the other for different things .
Wont be buying anymore bikes for a few years now as im happy with what i have . Missis does want a downhill bike but shes needs practice and lessons before i splash cash on a DH rig
with a few upgrades , Handlebars, Grips, Stem , Ice tech XTR, Gold KMC chain, Red hope spacers .got some crank brothers pedals in red but sent them back as didnt like them.
I'm loving how fast this 29er is its responsiveness is suprising with it being a 29er and the 140mm travel front and back feels like I have 180mm travel and I haven't bottomed out once since getting to know the settings and rebound adjustments. its faster than I could ever wish for and have to slow the bike down .i had read reviews on the XTR ice tech rotors being better with there stopping power so gambled and bought them and the results are stunning along with the ice tech finned resin pads .Loving the shorter stem too making it quicker on the turns.tyres seem a lot better than the mountain kings i have on the lapierre and gives me much more confidence on tight corners and big berms .being carbon I'm able to throw the back of the bike quicker around corners and ive never been able to kick a back end of a mountain bike around corners before and ive only ever done that on a bmx when I was a kid . The bike is the best 2.5k I have ever spent on anything .only upgrade I would do to this bike now is 1x11 XO1 next summer along with a Raceface atlas kash gold crank ..A bit to expensive at 200 notes for now .
The scott has had new XTR crank and carbon bars added .Got the weight down to 9.1kg with lighter XT spd's. I have now changed the wheels from what's in picture to fulcrum wheels set and bought another XT cassette and sammy slicks so now have wheels and tyes for Off road XC and commuting and i just have to change them over .the bike is so fast with the sammy slicks on .I've still yet to put on the brand new XTR rear mech with clutch as not needed to yet.
love both these bikes and it's just then case of more confidence on the cube at going even faster down descender bender .
