Just a short video of me on the cube stereo on mabie descender bender a couple of weeks ago .
I muted the sound because it was just so annoying (click click click from the strap of camelbak and drinks tube) even if some will find the music so annoying it was better than that clicking and hearing me swear.the music was the best thing i could find on you tube at the time. th upscale that youtube has done is awful .
My first ever video so be kind . my lines also look awful and cant believe i stayed on the bike . saying that ive had 2 offs on descender bender all on the cube and the video still dont show the reality of the speed your actually going .
Please forgive me of the music .

John... You are forgiven for the music ! Nice vid ..and it brought back some great memories of the one and only time I have visited . But while on the subject of Dumfrieshire trail centres ...does no one visit Drumlanrig ? We did some of the tracks which although man made have a very natural feel as part of the Goldrush trail a few years back ...but I have never seen them mentioned on these pages ...

Looks an excellent run that does! You tube kills the quality of vid though you are right.

You tube kills the quality of vid though you are right. yep it is mate the video dont do the speed justice , I nearly came off in that video too a couple of times on 3.19 when i nearly lost the back wheel over the side of the berm and 5.24 when i got a little air and nearly went over the bars but managed to pull my weight to the back end.

Looks like a cracking track - fast and flowy - pity it's so far away for me. Thats the best bit of mabie .its only got 3 big ascents with the Ridge, the descender bender and burn splash all the rest is mainly up and up and technical. the final fire road descent is ok too . how far are you will ? as will arrange a forum ride next summer (june-july )along with glentress and inners weekend and then go to mabie on the way back down .

Nice vid, good on ya. Need to get back to Mabie soon myself.
Drumlanrig is excellent imo. Stunning setting, lovely red trail with black options. I've been a couple of times and really rate it. It's not a fire roads to the top then one big blasting descent type place but more of a route, with a fair bit of undulating terrain. I found there was lots to keep me interested and would definitely recommend it. Terrain is very natural with lots of roots, rocks, mud and generally what you would find in our great outdoors. Less hard-packed gravel than many of the major trail centres and for me that's a positive. I'm looking forward to a return visit when it reopens.

good vid and great trail but shit music Also, love your bike but still not sure about the gold bars, admittedly they look better when you can see the gold of the forks too. That said I'm boring and always have black!

I normally huck a left and get my breath and a drink at the bench Only done Mabie a couple of times, enjoyed it. It's hard work though. Dunno why, but the vid seems sped up in places, must be the camera. Did you get a strava time? Here's my run no idea why it looks sped up other than i recorded in 720p and you tube upscaled it to 1080 and i had that protune switched on by mistake . no strava either as wasnt taking my new phone out with me (Galaxy Note 4) thus the reason for wanting to get a garmin .I took my old iphone 4 with me for phone calls and forgot that i wiped the iphone, i tried downloading stava too but at mabie that was a no go. i also had the gopro upside down.

Just in certain places when you slow down, or corner, it seems to catapult out. Rocket legs? I didn't want to say anything as I always seem to be being mean to you (I promise I won't any more) but it does seem massively sped up in places. Especially when you compare it to other gopro footage, Not being mean, promise just my opinion on the video. Not doubting your quick just the way it seems to speed up and slow down

no idea why it looks like that only bit i can tell that looks funny is when im just finish bender and start the burn splash. I did use you tube enhancements like saturation and sharpness , i think i used that steady cam enhancement too as the cam was shaking to much . when im pedaling the gopro seems to move and sway as the chesty is just a cheapo from amazon and the belt kept undoing itself and ended up being lose and on occasions the belt would come away from plate . ive also go camel back on too that moves the chesty plate with every hard pedal turn.
oh well will do other videos in next year as i wont go that fast again in the wet , Plan on doing full course reviews on all the 7stanes ,its a good goal to aim for .with these reviews i would like to get another go pro (cheapo £99 one) so i have 2 in sync, 1 on chesty and 1 somewhere else like front of forks and have a split view .
