Conti Baron 2.3 up top...
Very glad i went for it... With the trails becoming slippery with leaves, wet roots and now starting to turn into the winter mud fest, i feel like i have made the right choice... Great grip, the more i ride the more i trust it... A mate asked how i have the confidence to corner fast in the shit conditions. Its all down to this tyre
I've never tried Maxxis or Schwalbe but the Continental stuff has all been great!

I prefer the standard 60a Minion to the 42a Super Tacky - I don't find the Super Tacky gripper, or if it was, it lost it pretty quick with the tread getting chewed up and rounded. I just drop a bit of pressure if I need more grip on the 60a.

Well went out with the monkey and queen combo. my god was it good. OK up the trails here there is a lot of sand or dead pine needles but even so really good, bit heavier up front but not a bad thing as it was bucking to easy before, may go tubeless to shed about 200g (brings the bike under 12kg then) But all in all really happy good grip all round side knobs digging in and holding roots better than the panaracer no front sliding issues on sand and felt better in the mud but thats probably due to the fact it sheds better. All in all very pleased feel much more confident with the front end which is just what I needed. Bit o sandage photoage first  And an idea how much crap that tyre throws up after 20 miles of pratting around  |

Probably works out lighter because its not holding the mud all the time. But yeah not worried on the weight on this one its light enough for me anyway would ratehr have a heavy bike im confident in than a light one i cant trust to grip things.

I've tried a few other tires on the front but always end up back with the CM on.
On One normally have their tires on offer over xmas ( I got mine for £10 last xmas) so I'll be getting another if they do the same deal this year
