Looking at getting a camera to mess about with when over the Chase. Not sure what to go for though. Narrowed it down to these 3: New £99.00 gopro KitVision HDOr SJ400 HDWhat do we recon guys? SJ uses gopro mounts so plenty of those available.

Does the SJ record continuous or segments? Have seen some footage where the same tree appears twice in a few seconds.

I had the same dilemma before the go pro hero 4 came out. Was checking other cameras and went for the go pro hero 3+ silver. After advice on here. I personally like the number of mounting options you get with a go pro. And the fact I can preview the shot on my go pro app on my phone. So i don't miss any parts of footage filming the floor. I like the chest view personally as you get a great view of the trail ahead but also see the handle bars and forks taking a beating

The only thing putting me off the gopro is lack of screen/remote view.
Suppose if chest mount can't go far wrong.

I'd go for the GoPro! Got one and really starting to like using it now... Multiple picture modes, 720 and 1080p HD video, many mounting options, all for £99... You also get the GoPro editing software to knock together your rad edits!

The only thing putting me off the gopro is lack of screen/remote view. I just use the app on my phone. I've got my phone with me anyway. Sorted! I dont think the £99 GoPro has that option

The only thing putting me off the gopro is lack of screen/remote view. I just use the app on my phone. I've got my phone with me anyway. Sorted! You cant use the app due to no Bluetooth / Wifi... However, its not that hard to line it up, you just have to get out and experiment. Watching a few Youtube tips, you'll see what the ideal position is. Then you just play about with it until it looks right. When i first got the camera, the chest mount was facing the ground/sky and the helmet mount was really shakey. I've now sorted it out with a J Bend mount and i get the same angle as those with the LCD backdoor. Its simply trial and error.
