The shop put the frame on FB..
All anyone on FB can really see is that it's going to 'Jason' in Rugeley!
It's unlikely that they'll find it/me from FB alone. You just need to be careful about what info you share!
Even if they do find it/me, the frame/bike will be indoors until at least January.
The real danger as far as your concerns are errrrrrm, concerned is people following me home when the bikes on the roof of the Vectra!

OK, so, the frame should leave them today.
They said they had to wait for the correct size headset which comes free with the frame. They said that because it wasn't a common size, they had no stock and so had to wait for Hope to send one.
Fair enough I suppose as long as it does get despatched today.

I'm not too sure yet. Might leave the Mega till next year and buy a fat bike now!
To be honest, I probably won't decide until the frame arrives.
If I do start on the Mega though, I'll most likely go after forks!
When will the Green Machine arrive?

We will see, I was adamant that I was going to take my time and build my downhill bike up over a year, instead once I had it I spent nine stop till it was done. Once you have it you will want forks, then you will fit the forks and want the stem so you can tighten it, then the bars, grips, seat post etc etc, will be done soon Don't get a fat bike, there just massively gay and pointless Hopefully a week or two, they have to get it, build it, then sort out delivery when my wife is out

Haha yeah, we'll see.
Wanted a fat bike for ages now but resisted the temptation of buying one but it's a hard idea to shift out me head.
Would be nice to get the Mega done.

Then get the Mega ready for next summer and you'll have a sick set up! Cant wait to see the Mega finished tho, going to be awesome spec!

IT'S BEEN DISPATCHED
This time tomorrow, I'll have the frame
The delay was caused by the free Hope headset. The size the Mega needs is 44mm top and bottom as opposed to 44mm top and 56mm bottom. Due to the headset I needed not being a particularly common type, they didn't have stock and had to wait for Hope to send one. As a way of an apology, they're sending a free t-shirt with the frame. The really annoying part is that I'll probably remove the Hope headset and stick a Chris King in there before the build is finished.

On the plus side, you may well be able to sell the Hope headset at near cost if it's not overly common, no doubt someone will want it. Also very jealous of you with your frame. Really looking forward to seeing this built! I have to wait until the end of next week for the Knolly to arrive in the shop

Mine won't be properly built for a while.. Especially as I want £2k wheels, £1k suspension and a drivetrain that looks to be around £800.. That's not even thinking about bars, stem etc and a Reverb lol. By the time I've finished the Mega, every Tom, Dick and Harry will have a 2015 With the headset.. they're not hard to get hold of but because a lot of bikes don't have a 44mm headtube, a lot of places don't stock them! I should be able to get a few quid for it though.

Yeah, just the waiting game at the moment.
Geez man, that's going to be one hell of a build! By the time you've finished it they probably will. but I doubt any of them will be near the calibre of this build!

Even if true, there certainly won't be many builds like your mega!
Can't wait for a goo on it...

By the time you've finished it they probably will. but I doubt any of them will be near the calibre of this build! That's what this build is all about for me. I know you see Mega's everywhere, I had a 2012 model myself. In my opinion, they are superb bikes and the 2015 will mean it's not really necessary for me to buy a separate DH bike! The whole intention with buying the Mega was to build my dream bike, which is exactly what I'm going to do! Some might say "why not buy a Bronson" or whatever but, as plain as it is, the Mega is the bike for me! Maybe I am wasting money by spending what will be £5k plus on a Nukeproof, so what lol. It'll be my dream bike and that's all that matters me! Besides, I'm not always going to be in a position where I can spend so much on bikes so I may aswell do it whilst I can..
