Have any of you ever done the Dudes of Hazzard enduro? It's not normally my thing but I was talked into it by my team… I went through full cycle over the weekend of being excited to try something new to hating enduro to thinking yeah this is ok actually… It was quite easy to spot the DH racer in our team sulking at the back on the climbs!! If you haven't done it before I'd recommend it next year - but try and get up to Kinlochleven to get a grasp of the trails during summer! The views were spectacular! This is my "I HATE ENDURO" face I have more pictures and boring words on my blog, but all you really need to know is I finished 7th in the elite/senior women out of 25 starters (288th overall out of 450 starters), my coach WON the veteran category and one of our team fell on stage 1 on race day, had to be stretchered down the mountain by the rest of the guys and was taken to Fort William hospital for the night with a fractured cheek bone! Pretty eventful! So i'd recommend doing it next year - but you need to be prepared for hell!

Had a bit of an epic ride up there a few years back ..totally underestimating the length of ride we had undertaken ..the end result was that we ran out of food and water ..I was gone .. Weak as ... Blurred vision and ended up having an off at the very top of the Ciaran Path ... amd ended up tumbling over and over eventually being stopped by a rotting tree trunk ...after thinking I was going to fall into the ravine below the dam ! At 10.30 at night we had a six hour drive home taking turns with the driving ..but I know I nodded off at least once . Got home at sunrise ...don't ask me how !

Kinlochleven is stunning, I've ridden the west highland way north to south in the shittiest weather ever and it was draining, well done to yourself Rach

Well done on a great result.
I'm just gutted that it's so damn far away from me. I would have entered if it was closer.

Cool pics too I totally can understand those feelings Hodgy from your story. I totally underestimated how much the terrain would take it out of me and I'd been training over 20/25 miles rides with 2000ft climbing. It felt like every mile we did was two miles! Id love to visit the area again and ride the tracks without the pressure of lines being taped off and the need to get through it all in time for race prep etc

Glad it was entertaining! I try to be brutally honest about how I was feeling and what I was doing rather than pretending I'm awesome and loved it - I'm far from it and it will only catch up with you... Especially when No Fuzz Events and Scottish Enduro series share your blog! Haha
