Looks good I thought it was mainly single track rather than the man made trails like it shows all the same looks very tasty .

Dave & Jean( two of the senior six) rode this last year ..Dave really rated it ..and said the real difference over other trail centres is that the trail itself is a lot narrower ..off camber in certain places with steep drops to the side ..which had him brickin it ..but in a good way ..which is why he wants to re-visit . We usually have a couple of mini trips a year staying away for 2-3 nights ..so we will be doing other rides in the area...don't know what yet ..but probs something natural ...if we end up going

We were there last year, we only did the lower loop and apparently didn't miss much by not doing top loop.
It is a bit long but there was a lot of riding.

I went and hated it, not enough downs and never really got going however had come straight from doing Snowdon and my front mech shat itself so I was stuck in a 38 big ring which was really hard so think I need to go back with fresh legs, done a lot of work now with some new sections
my mates just did an enduro there this weekend

last year a few of us tried penmachno for the first time as part of a cyb enduro weekend. we also only did the lower loop.came away thinking it was definitely worth doing while we were in the area, but wouldn't travel from home just to ride penmachno. its a great area to ride, with plenty of trail centres and natural stuff, tho im yet to ride the natural stuff........I absolutely love any part of the uk with scenery like that.

Glynn Although I like trail centres ( esp in the winter months ) ..my first love has and always will be riding natural technical trails . I have never been to that area ..or indeed any area of Wales with my bike and couldn't justify the expense of getting there and staying for a night or two just to ride trail centres ..so the trip would very much include riding at least a couple of routes in Snowdonia. Fortunately I'm a bit of a saddo when it comes to collecting routes from mountain biking mags and have a file for every part of the country ..collected from MBR and What Mountain Bike ..so won't be stuck for where to ride..(these go back to 1997) . It will be a wrench not to head back north again as there is still so much to do in the far N.W. of Scotland ...but maybe a change would be good ..there's still a bit of talking to do! Cheers everyone for the responses to date...

same ere........I enjoy trail centre rides cos I don't do them very often.....its different riding. i'd like to do a cadair idris natural ride when I get the chance. nant y arian makes a good mixture ride.starting and finishing in the trail centre and heading out into the wilderness in between.but its not north wales
