Kind of sorry I've waded into this a bit late but as stated the tld are a bit size specific as such didn't suit me but really like the fox launch ones I have had since

I had same problem as Betty with 661 slipping after being washed! Have had Knox Armour ones for the season now and they are amazing. They are, by coincidence, a local based Lake District company, Cockermouth, and sponsor the Scottish downhill series. Not cheap but amazing quality and style. I didnt realise knox were a UK company!!!!!!!! Haha the strap line on their website is 'Original British Innovation' But in all seriousness they came over to a demo day we were holding last summer and showed us some impact testing and it was pretty mind blowing. Better than D3O... Which I'm sure you are aware can fail at certain extreme temperatures, which won't affect majority of riders. Took me 9 months to find the money to buy my first pair. Worth every penny!

Ooooooh my new knee and elbow pads have come today. No more carpet burns for me. I did get small ones so they'd be tight enough. The elbow pads are a bit tight on my forearm but I think based on the CRC reviews and comments on here they'll give a bit and be just right.
Mrs W doesn't know I'm intending testing them tonight.
