Rode clipped in for about 9 months solid. Now have gone back to flats, don't i could go back to clipped in, i like knowing I'm able to dab a foot down if things get a little wobbly!

10 years plus now for me clipped in ..never had a decent pair of flats with pins in Mates keep telling me that they give you more confidence on gnarly downhill ...ffs ..I think I know by now what I am capable of and have never thought that what I couldn't ride was down to being clipped in ..more a lack of bottle ! Lol

its just a matter of looking ahead and getting your front wheel up to the next slab, the only place I have problems round gisburn is the techy ups through the trees and them narrow wooden bridges, I cant seem to judge it to get over.

Cheers Roundie ..I had a quick look on the website in between you posting ..and the red route comes in at 11 miles ..which is a hell of a long drive for me for that length of ride ... Thanks very much for letting me know though ..think I will have to do that if I am passing close to the area

Hmm ..I will see if any of our lot are interested ..but to put that into context ...it is quoted as a 2hr 40 min drive. I can be at Glentress in 1hr 15 mins ...although it is somewhere different ...

I like Gisburn but I would probably not want to drive 3hrs to get there. It's not far in milage for me but still takes almost 2 hours cos of being crappy roads to get there.
