Right guys, looking at getting a Reverb around Christmas for the Slayer. Need some advise on the lengths etc, my seat tube is 220mm and from bottom of seat tube to my seat is 370. My seat tube is open at the bottom where it meets the shock, so a stealth is possible.
but which size is best you recon, I cant find the length of what the seat tube section is so hard to judge it.

how tall are you?
I got the bigger seatpost (420mm IIRC) so that I could have the seat higher if I needed to

push your current seat post down as far as it will go, and then put a mark on the seat post and then measure from the bottom of the seat post to that mark??

Tbf depending on his height, the length of the actual seat post might be irrelevant

Best to get the shortest you can to save weight! No point getting the longest then running it all in the frame so the length is always relevant However on both my bikes that had one I just bought the longest post with the most drop, I never have and never will be overly concerned with a few grams saved on a bike

Thanks for the replays guys, will have to check out a few figures, my main problem is the length of the bottom section of the post, as if it hangs out the bottom of the seat tube it could affect the shock which is directly below it.
I'm thinking 150drop will be too big as the total length of the post is 430mm so guessing I should go for 125 drop at 380mm total, leaving the shortest bottom section I'm guessing so shouldn't affect shock?

Reading your post you say you have a 220 seat tube and bottom of seat tube to seat is 370, that means you only have 150mm sticking out the frame??? If that's the case get the 100mm drop as including the collar you will be running it pretty much as low as you can in the framethen get the shortest overall length CRC have the none stealth on offer, get the 100mm drop, 355mm post

If it's a 125 drop and the post is 380 that means the bottom section is 255 but 30mm of that is collar so you will have about 220 in the frame which is the max you can have in your frame without it popping out bottom
