this is how the lower blue bermy section looks at Glentrool..... Kirroughtree black looks like this also...... the drawbacks of trails in a working forest.....

they never give any information out to forest users...... they said at the beginning of May this year that parts of the Kirrie black will be closed due to harvesting.... fast forward 6 months and it's now just fully open....

Doogs .... I mentioned this on that other site ...but in case you didn't see the post ...get in touch with the F.C's regional office and find out who there Recreation & Tourism officer is ... They will have one ...get him onside and he will be privy to what's happening ..and will probably be the bloke responsible for restoring the trails when the harvesting has finished ...he will probably cover a wide area so maybe finding out his email address first and dropping him a line would be the best way to go about it ! Over at Kielder we have a good working relationship with said officer ..it wasn't always that way though !

waste of time doing that bud... over the years I have sent emails to various FC depts.... only ever received one reply back and that was concerning the price of car parking permits.....

Fair -do's The only reason I mentioned the recreation & tourism officer ..is that it is his job to deal with the public at large ..say that you want to get involved with helping to restore the trails ( even if you don't) ..and you might be surprised at how helpful they become Worth a try ?
