Was it me, or most of the banter was all towards the Spaniard? The worst about it all was the amount of rain when we got to the carpark trying to change clothes! Nice to see Ian's new bouncer...plus tyres are an interesting choice and one I would maybe buy if I was ever to get a HT again...

Glad you all enjoyed it - glad I did it, but I doubt I'll ever be fit enough to attempt that again!

i have to say, at the start i got a bit nervous...its not a great start really when you almost go vertical in some bits?! but overall i think i enjoyed that more than our last Peaks ride tbh, and much nicer than Hebden Bridge. Didn't realise how far from Sheffield it actually is!? took me almost 2 hours to get back!? I need to do Cutgate and Jacobs Ladder soon (if i haven't done these already that is...me being Spanish, i don't really know the names of the trails.

Just as a matter of interest ...how long were you out there ? Not particularly riding time ...but from start to finishing the ride ? Also ...I have to agree that the second half of the ride is now also my favourite section ...although even going back 4 or 5 years it would have been unthinkable to state that as the drop down Bowderdale itself had a lot more flow and undoubtedly was the highlight of the route ...whether through its greater popularity due to featuring in magazines or online forums or if it's down to erosion or a bit of both...it definitely does not flow / ride as fast as it used to .. Glad you all had a great day though ...

My favourite bit was that section in the woods, technical and flowy, with a few switchbacks that takes you to that stream and gate... I think I would probably do this ride again now that I know what lies in front of me!?

i think that was everyones favorite section. its almost like the first half and second half of the ride were two completely seperate routes, a very different feel to the two. but that is was makes it a good ride.

That section was brilliant, even if my rear tyre did try to kill me on the way through on more than one occasion. In fact it tried to get me off all bloody day.
