I've just put a leave form in for the 4th. I only really know Gaz but not heard from him in a while. Hope I'm still okay coming along.

Is anyone doing it? Just in case we can sort some travel arrangements? Other than that I'm doing it for Celebrate for Luke, a young kid who has to raise 25k for a heart operation. You can read more about him here if you like, he's a brilliant young kid. celebrateadaywithluke.co.uk/A link to my sponsor page is here if you're kind enough to donate it would be brilliant. www.virginmoneygiving.com/jonnyhindleyThanks all, Jonny

I must be a one off, I like it. I ride to keep fit and if I'm not pushing myself for speed or distance I find that I don't really push myself. I like creating segments of little bits of singletrack I find too and seeing if other people ride them too.

Hi all,
Just wondering if I could ask how much my wheels I'm selling are worth? I want some Superstar ones that are on offer at £139 at the moment.
Easton Vice 26" good as new really, only done about 300 miles.
What do you reckon?
Cheers.

That's great lads, think I'll give them a bell and have a chat to them then. Gaz, the event was amazing, really enjoyed it, surprised myself too. But those XC lads are unreal, the speed they go at for such a long time defies belief when you see it so close up.

Basically I had an Easton Vice Rear with a busted axle, good as new otherwise. So I found a replacement that had a buckle in it. How do I swap the freehubs over, doesn't seem to be that easy.

No, I don't like football. It's an old joke from when my brother(aged about 28) kicked a football in his garden with his new Alan Shearer slippers on and shouted 'Shearer!!!!!' and the said slipper went over next doors fence and he had to ask for it back off a Pro Rugby League player and Builder.
Suppose you have to have been there!

Anyone know anything about this and what kind of standard it is? I fancy it as it's local but don't want to turn up and get made to look a fool!

It had knackered SR Suntour forks that were busted. SRAM X5, wgich were so worn out and dirty/greasy they were fit for the bin, broken BB that had the square taper cranks rattling round, horrible 600mm bars. The whole bike was offensively grubby, part of the arrangement of me doing it was it has to be looked after properly. The good things about the bike were: Conti Tyres Good frame Pedals were nice Wheels really nice and true Stem, saddle and seatpost Brakes were working nicely too

My father in law Gary has been using a Carrera Kraken to cycle to and from work for the last few years, he's started reading my MBR magazines and fancies starting to take his bike out socially and to get fit. He was considering a new bike but I said if he gave me £250 I'd get his Kraken up to a decent standard as it is a really good frame and the wheels are pretty good for a base model.

I've got a 27.5 and a 26 and they roll the same to me, although the 26 has faster tyres on.

I'll check my pedal play, definately not heel clipping chainstay though. Pedals are getting on a bit, probably the oldest thing on my bike.
Cheers guys,
