I bent a pin on my SPDs and nearly killed myself when my bike went down a cliff at whinlatter and I couldn't unclip.
Don't think SPDs and MTB riding have found te perfect solution yet, although this is an opinion based on my own experiences.

Glad others appreciate the blue too.
Had a burger off the specials board, spicy welsh burger with the chefs own ghost chilli sauce.
As an ex chef I had to talk to him, it had blueberries, ghost chillies and onions in. Bloody lovely!
Lloyd of the ingredients were from within a few miles of the trail centre, they even don't do onion rings and do leer rings instead!

Can I just add that the blue trail at degla is in my opinion THE most underrated MTB trail in the country.

Took the 901 there today for the first time, that things lightning! Couldnt recommend it enough, it was muddy, I managed to bust a retaining bolt on the XTR cranks so the arm carried on needing to be tightened and I was hungover and i killed 28 PRs on Strava. The geometary on it gives you so much confidence, feels like your weight is in the exact right place, rather than over the front wheel and it gives so much confidence.
Also had the Ghost Chilli burger in rthe cafe which went down well!

Looks like a top day. Stunning up there, bet it's beautiful in the snow. Can't believe you had beans on toast and not the award winning ranch burger.

Is there a Strava club for this forum?
I've just left the old ruined forums club and was wondering if this one had one?

Customised Scott 710:
A MTB loving, Rugby League fan who likes a beer is Mr.Crowe. I think we could be freinds! He's in my neck of the woods at the weekend too for the St.Helens v Souths game.

Id love to come mate. To be honest I get pretty nervous with new people (I suffer with depression) but people seem pretty sound on here.

It's gorgeous up there, my mrs is from New Mills and we like walking, it's such an amazing place. I seriously think we look abroad too much when we have gems right under our nose.

I fancy a bit of this. I live in Stockport, will probably just have moved house so will probably want to make it a day do (not ruling out overnight)

Like it. Halfords is a cracking place for bargain bikes, Voodoo, Carrera, Boardman.

Cheers, it is really really quick. I do 90% XC riding so I think the switch to hardtail was common sense. I just love feeling how well made a bike is under me and it feels so solid and precise.

Saving for a dropper now and I think it's pretty much as I want it. geometery is odd to get used to, but as soon as you trust it, it really performs.
