Weathers starting to look shit for the weekend Bit of a bummer ..beautiful weather all week to thursday when it changes ..raining friday and Saturday ..temp 11c feeling like 6c ..that was for Llanberis Wouldn't be the first time they have been wrong though..fingers crossed for you |

But on a serious note there are loads of loops around CYB, Antur stiniog is close, wait and see what the weather does when we are there, could always do penmachno then snowdon on the Saturday if the weather looks like turning on the Sunday, snowdon isn't as tiring as you think

Take plenty of tubes and bang a bit of extra air in the rear tyres before hitting the telegraph path back to Llanberis , the drainage ditches and vicious on rear tyres , did it on sunday in glorious weather and there were quite a few punctures on that bit , I even managed to hole the sidewall of a tubeless so had to resort to an inner tube on the last 1/2 mile .Awesome descent though  |

Whow there. Iv got a b&b booked for satday night for the sunday snowdon ride. Theres been no mention of the possibility of changing the snowdon ride for a different day. Depending on weather

I've been up Snowdon with bad weather. It wasn't nice, verging on dangerous.
I won't be doing it again.
You need to remember that this is a mountain, not a trail centre.

The problem is if the weather is bad!
And no offence but I couldn't care less if the Queen had a bnb booked.. If the weather is too bad I won't be riding up.
That's not to say nobody will be going up, just not me.

Problem solved then.
I'll post some pictures later of last April when I went up.
Just remember it's a mountain and that a weather app on your phone may not be accurate. You might want to look at specific mountain forecasts. The speed the weather changes halfway up is amazing.

That's not to say nobody will be going up, just not me. im not a royalist either jay. of course the weather has to be taken into account,and im not saying my b&b takes priority over everyones safety. but to change the day of doing Snowdon at this early stage is a bit premature until we get a better idea of the forecast. sunday might or might not be the better day. I agree a low level route as a plan b might be an idea tho

Beginning of last week snow was forecast on the Sunday just gone , changed every day of the week and we had glorious weather , take it as it comes and make the decision as you go up .
