ok so picking up on points made by others, this is how I see it 1. riding up Snowdon is the purpose of the trip 2. yes ultimately the weather is the deciding factor. 3. tho it has to be seriously bad to call it off 4.we can keep a check on a good mountain forecast 5.we can meet up at the bottom and if conditions arnt serious we can set off 6.if we decide while climbing that is looking bad we turn round and just head back down the same way 7.we use a plan b as a last resort if we decide to not even start to climb 8. we make sure we've got good mountain layers with us to put on and strip off how does that sound in a nutshell?

Anywho, lets change the subject. What gearing we all using? I'll be sticking with 34t at the front and 10-42 at the back! I was going to buy a new 32t chainring but decided that I couldn't be arsed so stuck with the 34t!

That sounds pretty much spot on to me, Glynn.

Fuck me boys ..unless there is 3-4" of snow ( not forecast) or fog that you can't see past your nose end ( not forecast ) or wind above 30 mph ( not forecast ) ..then where's your problem ..it's nearly May ..not December ! What is forecast is temperatures of 11c ..so ice ain't gonna bother you ..and rain ..which with the correct clothing ain't a problem either ..and the last time I checked skin was still waterproof Just do it !

Don't forget beer money for the summit.
There's a nice bottle of Taffy Apple cider with my name on it.
