We had six of us , 5 ht's and one fs, one of the ht's was a 80's full rigid Overburys with Magura's , he did it but was a tad slower than the rest of us .

www.metoffice.gov.uk/mobile/forecast/gcmjgpd8Bear in mind that this is for the summit ..but taking the "feels like " temperature it isn't exactly going to be splitting the trees..take plenty of layers ..carry them if you don't need them... it will get colder the higher you climb..don't forget hands and head ...but it looks a little better than forecast earlier in the week in terms of rain ...

I think it's quite a good forecast really, it's never going to be nice and warm at the top, it's a mountain  Hiking up by 7 we will be fine |

It is ..but keep checking that link as it updates every 3 hours ..it's already changed ..fog now at 7.00 am and mist from 10.00 until 1.00 pm
Also check the drop down for " more details " as that shows the " feels like " temp ..or wind chill factor if you like ..which for the time you are on the mountain is hovering between..-3c to -5c ..therefore my previous advice to take additional layers

Bad news,chaps  I'm injured. Very nearly snapped my thumb off last night! At the moment it's bloody painful and twice the size it should be! On the plus side, it's my left thumb so not my gear changing one  I've not been on my bike but I think holding on may be a problem.. We'll see. |
