Went out today with Colin Barkin Mad around some of the trails at Kielder ..bit of mix and match ..we started off on Deadwater on the " new " red section which was the old red section which was trashed by forestry operations now fully rebuilt but the route has been reversed ..then we did the black " up and over " section which once again included a new section built by Northern Down Hill ..this had two huge drop offs which we politely declined ..but the rest of it was ace ! Then on to the blue route which due to forestry operations had a very muddy energy sapping climb ..and another new section ..fairly short and included a bermy section which both myself and barking mad thought were too tightly packed together for a " blue " ....the weather up here today was not as forecast ...clear blue skies and sunshine ..a fantastic day to be out ..and we both had a blast ! Barkin mad at the start of the "new " 3 Dog Descent " , Deadwater, Kielder BM at the top of the Osprey Trail ( blue ) climb

Bastard weather - piddling down in Roojelly and on nights tonight and for the next 2 after - looks like Wednesday then. I'll never be fit for April at this rate. I'm the same except I've not rode in a long time before 2015 I have both bikes back up and running and sorted a device for transporting the bike just got to start to get out now that's the hardest part . motivation at all time low for everything not just the bikes must shake it off or my place for SNOWDON will be up for grabs and I ain't havin that

OMFG! I've not ridden since last year either!!
I'm out Monday and probably Tuesday, not sure where yet - most likely local trails to give the Warden a bit more of a run in and tune up.

There's nowt wrong with riding a road bike. It's the hanging about round public toilets trying to meet someone to ride with that I find a bit embarrassing.

Yeah but Gaz, a local loop for you is about 50 miles, you bloody machine! if you think you are going at the back up Snowdon you can sod off - you should be leading the slow group at the very least with the miles you are putting in!
