Good point - am trying to get a list together of parts I need to take that you wouldn't normally bother with. The two days will be pretty intense on us and more importantly the bikes. I've got spare tyre with tube (in case one of the HD's is torn) Errr...that's it so far

Looking on the black side ..but accidents can happen in the blink of an eye ...

I got out for the first time in weeks today, 21 miles with 3100ft elevation, absolutely done in now, I didn't think I'd lost that much fitness until roughly 30 seconds after I started, legs were burning all day!

Still weigh the same I did in secondary school (yes, I went to school) I was the same as you Jay, I could eat anything and everything and never put weight on but then you hit 40 and it stays on you a little longer than before. That said a couple bags of prunes and a good ride soon gets me back to under 11 stone

Also - I don't actually know what a tyre boot is. Should you get a tyre blow-out ...it sits between the tube and the tyre where it has split ..to stop the tube from bulging out ( and puncturing )
