What would it be?
For a number of reasons I fancy doing something out there which would take a lot of training and balls but I have not yet thought of it or found it, I want to be able to sit back at a later date and think WTF that was mental.
I thought of The Yak Attack but I doubt I could do the 10 days so I would be interested in the thoughts of those that have the same thoughts or have heard of something similar.
Cheers

I fancy the yak attack too but think fitness and cost mean it's never going to happen. First stop snowdon and then coast to coast.

I should be doing the Snowdon trip providing I can move a few thing about but the coast to coast I hear is a little tame. I should also add that I am not looking to race anyone just do something for that sake of achievement.

Thanks for the post, I have looked at it but racing is not really my thing (I hear there are race stages to run first) and its also a down hill mad feast that looks like great fun but again it looks like most people could do it on there own as its only a question of how many times you fall off and how long it would take. I fancy something really random and boundary pushing.

Penmachno and Snowdon in the same weekend is just about as mad as it's ever going to get for me. We all have different ideas of what's mad I suppose based on your own personal ability/fitness.

I've liked at those organised riding holidays a few times and been very tempted but, as yet, I've not pressed the book now button. I will do though, one day.

No need for organised stuff, car/van share with a couple of mates, just book a cheap hotel or chalet, do it dude, you won't regret it. It'll cost ya less than a set of Boss forks

Couple of my mates do it every year drive over rent a pad out with a group of lads hire a guide who now loads of off pista trails and they have. Agreat time

I wish I had mates who would be up for it haha.
Most have no interest and the others can't through family commitments etc.
I think the organised option would be best for me. There's no shortage of them and most seem reasonably priced.

me and my mate and whoevers interested will be organising something this year. dont need a guide. traisl are well marked and range from easy to nuts. bikes can be hired but cheap enough to take own. transfers and flights cheap enough or drive out. if your not sure where to go on the trails just follow someone. all trails end back at the bottom of where you started one side of the mountain or the other, then back on the lift to the top and start again. first time out theres more than enough to keep you entertained for a week without going to far from morzine/lesgets/mont cherry/ and plenney. all the lifts are wicked now. loads ofplaces for food and bers and places to stay and look on pink. hundreds of vids. www.pinkbike.com/forum/listcomments/?threadid=59197&pagenum=746
